Thanks to the growth of modern forms of communication, one can now access virtually unlimited amounts of information. Unfortunately, such easy access means that research into a problem is often regarded as being all-embracing and correct even though the information has not been verified or edited and may not necessarily be complete.

 Information only becomes real knowledge after it has been evaluated, categorised and prioritised by experts. Alu-M. AG wants to provide new yardsticks for this important process and generate trust in these yardsticks because the recipient of the information does not always have the necessary capability to evaluate it qualitatively himself.

 

The main task of the network that has to be created for this purpose is to participate in and actively control the proficient transformation of information into real knowledge. This knowledge only gains in value once it has been successfully used to solve a problem.

 

For the participants in the Alu-M. AG network, the use of such upgraded knowledge results in financial as well as production-related and competitive benefits. The network participants exchange their knowledge and then put this together straight away to solve an individual participant’s problem.

 

We are aware that competitive thinking can inhibit the synergistic effects of pooling intellectual resources that are scattered about and a knowledge of the industry that is limited to specific areas.
